Personal:

I have always run to keep in shape but before last year hadn't ever run more than 6 miles in my life.  It all started when RAD got me signed up to do Ragnar.  I didn't want to make a fool of myself, so I started doing more distance.  I found I really like having something to work for in my running.  Now that my 4 kids are getting older, I finally feel like I have the time to commit to training for a marathon.

Had a hard time on last mile, because of knee problems.  Had to even stop and walk for about half a mile.  Before that I averaged 8:30. but that last one and a half was more like 15 minute miles.  I wonder if the slant of the road I was running on is what aggravated it.

YAY! I'm glad you're finally on here. You know Tom is going to call you 'sunshine', right? :)

I think you're right about the slant of the road. That is why many people simply run the JRP - alleviates the need to run on the 'wrong' side of the road.

Nice mileage today, keep up the hard work and you'll definitely kick it at SGM!!
